NIE Educational Software



The National Institute of Education (NIE), Sri Lanka has developed 8 software CDs. These CDs were distributed to schools in Sri Lanka. This site has been launched to help in the process of software development. These 8 CDs altogether contain 27 software packages. Most of these software packages have been developed with General Certificate in Education Advanced Level (grade 12 and 13) science subjects as the focus. In this series there are packages that cover other subjects and grades.
The list of Software packages developed is as follows.

iv. Stationary Waves in a Stretched String

NIE Educational Software CD No. 4
Subject : Chemistry
i. Classification of Elements
ii. Shapes of Molecules

NIE Educational Software CD No. 5
Subject : Physics & Chemistry
i. Current Electricity
ii. Electro Magnetic Induction
iii. Enthalpy Changes

NIE Educational Software CD No. 6

ii. Plant Movements
iii. Structure of the Leaf

NIE Educational Software CD No. 7

ii. Seeds and Seed Germinations

NIE Educational Software CD No. 8
Subject : Aesthetic & Physics
i. Scientific Perspective of Music

These 8 CDs were distributed free to all Sri Lankan schools with Computer Learning Centers (CLC) laboratories or ICT Laboratories. Any other interested school or individual can purchase these CDs from the bookshop at the National Institute of Education, Maharagama, Sri Lanka.

As teachers, They are important in the effective Teaching-learning Process. It is better to view the brief introduction of each of the software in this site.

Actually it's a good job... Can anyone develop CDs' from abroad? Earlier i was a teacher in Sri Lanka..
